Anyone accused of the following violations who claims to be innocent, unless in the case of indisputable evidence, will be granted a fair trial by the Commodore & three of her trusted officers. Should the accused be found guilty, the punishment will be increased by an amount determined by the Commodore.

1.     Any crewmembers who attempt to raise a mutiny shall be thrown overboard. The leader(s) of such a mutiny shall be hung by the neck until dead. The possessions of all mutineers, except for their clothing, shall be distributed equally among the remaining crew. Disobeying the direct order of a superior officer will be considered mutinous & warrants marooning.

2.    Anyone who murders a fellow shipmate, unless in self-defense, will be hung from the neck until dead. Their possessions, except for their clothing, shall be distributed equally between those closest to the victim.

3.      Anyone who assaults a female prisoner or shipmate shall be flogged     in the amount of 50 lashes. Anyone who assaults a female while in the process of raiding a village will receive 60 lashes. An officer who does so shall also lose all rank, including officer’s pay. If the assault results in death, the perpetrator will suffer 50 lashes previous to being thrown overboard. 

4.      Anyone caught or proven to have given sensitive information concerning the activities or crew of the Fleet to our enemies shall be considered traitors & hung by the neck until dead.

5.      Anyone caught stealing or proven to have stolen from fellow shipmates, or the property of the Fleet shall have their primary hand removed without compensation. In addition, all of his or her property will be confiscated & given to, or divided amongst, the victim(s) of the theft(s).

6.      Those captives retained for ransom shall be clapped in irons & placed below decks under rotating guard, unless the Commodore or Captain specifies otherwise. They shall otherwise be well fed & treated with respect, with the exception of Uppity Nobles who may be mocked, but not otherwise abused. Anyone who strikes or abuses captives shall be likewise struck & abused in equal measure. Anyone found visiting such a captive without proper authorization shall be given 25 lashes. Anyone found releasing, or proven to have released, such a captive will be thrown overboard.

7.      Those captives that the Commodore or Captain deems to be a threat to Fleet security shall be placed in the brig under rotating guard consisting of only his or her most trusted officers. Any members of the crew attempting to see or speak to such a person shall receive 50 lashes. Any members of the crew who releases, or attempts to release, such a person shall be thrown overboard. Should the prisoner manage to escape, the officer who was in charge of the watch will be held responsible. They will be given an opportunity to explain to the Commodore who will then decide a fair punishment.

8.       Any adversary demanding parlay must be taken to the Commodore or Captain at their earliest convenience. Anyone harming an individual protected by the right of parlay will be given 15 lashes.

9.       Anyone refusing to do his or her duty due to illness will be allowed one visit from the ship’s Doctor. If the Doctor deems the sailor unfit for duty, he will inform the Captain & the sailor will be allowed the amount of time off as specified by the Doctor. If the Doctor deems that the sailor is well, refusal to work will be considered mutinous & warrants marooning.

10.  Any shipmates caught fighting shall be ordered to 1 week in the crow’s nest & 1 week kitchen duty in opposite shifts.

Bonuses & Benefits

1.    Anyone who is found to have done his or her job particularly well are to be brought to the attention of the Commodore, who shall, at the end of a voyage, distribute the common fund equally between them. Likewise, anyone who shares information with his officers which aids in preventing danger to the Fleet will be given a reward in the amount of 50 guilders.

2.     Anyone losing a limb in service of the Captain shall also be given monies from the common fund & be given first priority. Distribution is as follows:

Primary Hand: 400 guilders Secondary Hand: 100 guilders

Right Arm: 500 guilders      Left Arm: 400 guilders

Right Leg: 400 guilders       Left Leg: 300 guilders

One Eye: 100 guilders         Both Eyes: 600 guilders

In the event that there is not enough money in the common fund at the close of the voyage with which to pay out for lost limbs, the monies that are in the common fund shall be distributed proportionately between any of the crew who has lost limbs.

Pay Distribution

All crewmembers are guaranteed payment of 10 guilders per month for their service, not including any extra bonuses the Commodore or Captain decides to give for shore leave or special occasions. In months of plunder, the following distribution chart applies:

Plunder is divided after (in order of importance) ship maintenance, repairs, provisions, the common fund, & the Commodore’s percentage. Distribution is based on a crew of 100. The combined plunder of both ships will be equally divided between them & distributed as follows:

While the Wind Dancer is officially the property of Commodore Von Drachenheim, it is not to be at any time to be associated with her, the Scarlet Pendulum, or the Three Bone Brigade. The relationship between the Wind Dancer & other fleet vessels requires your absolute secrecy. All Fleet articles, including bonuses, still apply. All sailors on the Wind Dancer do so at their pay rate equal to their positions on their respective ships & completely of their own free will. Sharing any information concerning the Wind Dancer & missions accomplished utilizing her with anyone but the 18 assigned to her, must be considered treasonous & will result in hanging.

By signing this document, you solemnly swear to abide by the articles of the Three Bone Brigade & further swear a vow of secrecy concerning the Wind Dancer, it’s missions, cargo, & association with said Fleet.
